I did write last night, although my wordcount-in-story was small. Enough that I might have updated my counst, but, well, the internet was down. Plus, all quotes woud be horrible spoilers.
Still, I think I’ve solved the horrible difficulty that’s been really slowing me down as I fumble my way through it. I just need to finish writing it out. I’m afraid it feels more like a theoretical science discussion than a story right now, but I guess that’s for revision to decide.
Next up, I need to decide if I’m following the outline and swinging right into another tense scene with the same character (which seems odd after this tense scene) or trying to write some kind of interlude or sequel as clearly seems warranted now that I’m in the thick of things.

Apparently if I allocate about 1 hour per 300 words, that works, in my current situation.
