Baby Signing Time: hmm
I have been auditing Baby Signing Time 1-4. I’m a bit bothered that I haven’t yet seen the sign for ‘book’ or ‘read’. Lots of food and drink, hygiene, manners, social skills, random toys, bedtime protocol, but no books? I have mixed feelings about what I’ve seen so far (and I’ll post my thoughts on certain types of children’s media some other time) but the lack of ‘book’ really bewilders me.
Fortunately, my wild guess about ‘book’ seems to be pretty accurate, according to the internet. But… still…
We’re on a toy section now. Telephone is the first ‘toy’ word. Moms love their telephones too, did you know? ‘Games’ is the second, because dads love their games too, did you know? And… ‘music’, which apparently moms also love.
I’m disappointed.

According to the chart (http://signingtime.net/pdf/st/bstsignreview1.pdf), book is in BST! volume 2 (as is read). I’d get up and go check it myself, but that’s all the way out in the living room. It’s also on series 1, volume 2: playtime signs.

Hmmm. I’ll have to check out volume 2 of BST again. It looks like it’s in the bedtime sequence, where I very well might have missed it if it was just a single verse. I was very distracted by the music for that sequence!
