I have a cold. An honest to goodness cold. More coughing, more sneezing, and extra snot. The sore throat has gone away, at least, but sleeping is hard when you have to breathe through your mouth, and drink extra fluids, and pee every two hours or so.
Also, it’s been hot. Extra hot, for me. I am an oven, baking a little bun. A sneaky rotten little bun, according to Kevin, who still hasn’t felt a kick.
Also, I’ve been playing Pirates of the Burning Sea when it’s not too hot. Apparently I’m allowed to admit that even though the NDA says otherwise, because, duh.
Also, Kevin says I can never say ‘duh’ again, in case Zod picks it up.
Also, Dante has started making the same cute yawning noises that Hannah does. I wonder if he learned it from her.
Also, my various garden plants have really loved the heat. I have infant tomatoes, prenatal summer squash, and some of those pumpkin leaves are very big. Oh, and a number of juvenile strawberries. If they attain any real size, I’ll have a nice berry harvest with some leftover past the picking-and-eating stage. Well, a few, at least. I should really stake the tomatoes up.
I’d mention my laziness (I blame the bun, the heat, the cold….) and my writing (or lack thereof) but enh. Does anybody reading really care?
I’ve been ranting to myself lately about some of the problems intrinsic in a large, widely networked population. Ah, the good old days of strange rants and critiques of thoughtless behavior patterns. But I’ve also been feeling pretty isolated, as if nobody I don’t see regularly remembers or cares that I exist.

To quote Luke Skywalker: “*I* care.”
I just don’t comment much because I don’t always have something to say. I figure if you’re still reading my LJ posts, same goes for you. :}

Thank you. I try to tell myself that, but sometimes it’s important to have a solid reminder.

Aw, we’re here! And we care, although don’t beat yourself up about writing on my account–only talk about it if you find it helpful. You’re also more than welcome back on the mush to noodle and chat about stuff any time you like! We miss you there.

Hope you’re feeling better. And, by the way, if “duh” is the worst thing your son picks up, consider yourself lucky!
