We went and saw Batman Begins on Saturday, and Kevin and I purchased World of Warcraft to play around with. It uses a peer-to-peer patching system, like Bittorrent, which was problematic until we decided to forward all bits to Kevin’s computer and simply copy the resulting file to my computer when it was all done.
If that didn’t make any sense, don’t worry about it.
Sunday was a nice day and we made hamburgers and played FFXI. getting about halfway through level 59. On Monday, Kevin and I made a nice breakfast while Ray helped Neil and Stacy work on their AF3 quests. Then I made a peach pie and some sugar cookies, and put some meat on to marinate, and Kevin and I played WoW together for a while.
The 4th of July BBQ went poorly though. Turkey doesn’t kebab well. The marinade recommended by Alton was funky and I used the wrong kind of meat. At least the vegetables came out well and we had plenty of room for dessert. Although the pie is extra-liquidy. But tasty.
It turns out that when I have something eating my brain (like a new game) I’m much less inclined to beat myself up and be depressed about all the things I’m not doing. This means my house is just as messy and my to-do list is just as long, but I’m not particularly moping about it, because playing WoW is more fun.
